One school district in Texas allows teachers be armed

David_ThweattTexas law does not allow permit holders to carry at K-12 schools unless “pursuant to the written regulations or written authorization of the institution.”

The Harrold Independent School District has passed such a regulation which allows teachers to be armed if they wish, provided that they comply with additional training requirements.

Superintendent David Thweatt says that it is all about student safety, “When you make schools gun-free zones, it’s like inviting people to come in and take advantage.
